Really love, or gold digging?
Sorry, might seem like a repost of my earlier question, but this question is a little different.
Currently, my son is in a, IMO, really bizarre relationship. He is 19 and black. We're a middle class family. We're notr rich, but not poor. He is dating a white man, 38 years old, who is quite rich. I asked my son if he is just dating him for money, and he said "No Way, I love him", and looked pretty offened that I asked him such a question.
However, is it really possible for a 19 year old black teenager to be in love with a 38 year old white man? This man seems nice, I've met him, and I hate seeing people take advantage of other people. I don't care who's doing it, for whatever reason, I hate it when people take advantage of others.
Well if he's making the other man happy would it bother you that much that he's just with him for his money?
Even if your son loves his money, he'll still have some connection towards the man because the money is part of this man's life.
I know I'd prefer to be loved for my money than not at all.
