Brides or MOB's or Bridesmaids: What was you biggest complaint about bridal gown shopping?
I am in the process of opening up a bridal shop, one that caters to all budgets whether it be 500 or unlimited funds. We will be offering full service meaning bridal gown, tuxedos, MOB dresses, flower girl dresses, jewelry, veils, tiaras, and invitations. Im making up guides for my employees as far as expectations with customers as i know that customer service is crucial in this business. What was your biggest complaint about bridal gown shopping? Is there any suggestions that you would have for bridal shops.

oh yeah i forgot in house alterations 
Not having sizes for all women.
Id offer a picture service (take a pick of the bride in the wedding gown she tries on). Have a camera on hand and a printer. Allow each bride 3 pictures of the wedding dresses she's interested in.
Honest opinions. I respect and I hope that any B2B would. If Im lumpy in a dress, tell me. If my back fat hangs over. Tell me. Use tact...but tell me. Maybe the associates should be given a mini course in things like that. We called it Verbal Judo when I worked at a Probation Office. You can be direct but be sensitive and respectful at the same time.
Referrals to photographers, caterers, hobby stores etc. Places they can use to complete there wedding.
Personalized - Thank you for doing business with us cards.
Id also suggest that you do follow up surveys with your brides or provide in store surveys to get an idea of what will need to be improved on.
Offer light refreshments - water..you don't want to stain anything and cookies maybe..nothing with icing or chocolate or anything messy.
Have a Bride "caseload". One associate helps a specific bride, no one else. So its more personal.
I might be going to far with this...but a getting to know you form for brides. If you know a little about someone ...you can provide them with better customer service.
Advertise with your associates. Have them wear a piece of the jewelry you provide, one of the bridesmaids dresses, a pair of shoes.
Knowledgeable male associates would be a great asset to a Bridal Shop.
Big dressing rooms.
Some women bring their children along, maybe a hidden area with seats and toys and a tv, like in a doctors office. And, I know you shouldnt drag your kids along, unless theyre in the wedding, but, lets face it, some people do.
