Any tricks or tips to securing a jump ring so it wont have such a risk of opening and my jewelry breaking??!?
I make jewelry and I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to secure a jump ring so it isn't as likely to come open and my bracelet or necklace come open.
espically the silver jump rings.. they are much softer then the gold.
I would prefer not to use a soldering iron...
Thanks for you ideas and help!

Work harden the metal. Open and close the ring quickly about ten times. If you have ever bent a paper clip rapidly, in time it will stiffen and then ultimately break. A small silver jump ring will follow this same principle. You just have to stop bending it before it breaks. Use two small tweezers for the job. That should do the trick.
