Where do these big jewelry stores buy diamonds and gold?
I'm trying to open up a small jewelry shop where I can make custom products. Nothing large or extravagant, al small storefront shop where i can make custom jewelry and sell it and I have no idea how to start. To learn the skill is not a problem I'll buy a few DVDs, but where to buy supplies like gold and diamonds, i have no clue.
They work with wholesalers who specialise in various precious and semi-precious stones. Look up rock shops in your local area - there are often a few that will sell you job lots of a mix of all kinds of stones in all kinds of grades.
Similarly with gold and metals you might want to use.
